Palingual Center’s Second Annual Chess Championship 2026
Bethlehem – Palingual Language and Cultural Center successfully organized its Second Chess Championship for 2026, on the 2nd of January, 2026 bringing together young talents in a competitive and engaging atmosphere.
The tournament was divided into two categories based on age groups:
♟️ Rising Stars Category (born in 2014 and later)
♟️ Youth Category (born between 2009 and 2013)
The competition followed a rapid Swiss-system format over five rounds, with tie-breaks applied according to international regulations.
In the Rising Stars Category, the winners were:
1st Place: Louay Massad, securing the title for the second consecutive year
2nd Place: Laith Rashmawi
3rd Place: Adam Rashmawi
In the Youth Category, the winners were:
1st Place: Karam Al-Hraimi
2nd Place: Abdulrahman Abu Fda
3rd Place: Mohammad Attiya
